The Season of Joy!
December 29, 2008
Jolly Christmas to you! Happy Hanukkah! Merry Kwanzaa! Whatever holiday you celebrate, this time of year is the season of happiness!
This year, I recieved many things I am thankfull for. I also gave many gifts, hoping to see a smile on the openers faces. I celebrate Christmas by the way.
For my little sister who is obsessed with barbies and princesses, I got crown jewelry which she jumped up and hugged me for! My dear mom, who hardly got anything for celebrations, got a NewYork&Company necklace and………. an ipod shuffle! Now my mom is singing loudly and proudly with her new gift. And the greatest of all, my got a guitar!!!!!!! Every waking moment has got the echo of a acoustic string sounding in the air! These are only some of the gifts my family got.
From my family, I got CABLE IN MY ROOM(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I am watching Sound of Music right now! I also got make-up, a new WII game, a booklight, giftcards, and much more! I am satisfied with what I got! I am happy! Hope you are too!
I was wondering, what religion celebrates Kwanzaa? What is it celebrating? And what does Hanukkah symbolize?
Sorry!

Sick as a Dog!
November 9, 2008
*Cough, Cough* I am as sick as a dog! I have been ill since Wednesday morning! I stayed home sick on Wednesday, went to school late Thursday, stayed home Friday, at home all Saturday, and confined to the bed today! I had a sore throat, then an even sorer one, then I have a blocked nose! I am at the moment in my room, doing homework, reading, writing, and coughing nonstop! I had to miss my sister’s dance watch-week because I was so sick! Plus I never get sick, hardly ever! Well maybe the germs have taken residence in an aboned town!
Trick or Treat

OoC.// sorry about like NEVER writing!
Halloween is coming! I cannot wait! This year I am going as a cute hippy, with the big peace necklace, tattoos (fake obviously) and the head-band! Last year I was a dark- queen. My little sister is Sleeping Beauty, and last year she was the fairy, Elina. I am really excited. My family and I are going with our friends who have a CUTE toddler who is being a ladybug. The puffy belly and even antennas! So adorable! I am still contemplating about wearing my costume to school, I dont know because it is light pink, and could get very dirty. So I might just wear a tye-dye shirt with jeans, and the fake ear rings and necklace. But i am so excited for this Halloween!
A Day at Elm Bank…
September 28, 2008
Last weekend my family and I went to our local Horticultural Center. It was fun and we all had a good time. I packed in Craisins (delish!) and some granola bars. I rode my bike, but it was way to small for me! I had really bad back cramps because I was bending really low. My fingers got a totally weird skin-tighten feeling and we decided to put the bikes away.
Then my sister rode her scooter for a bit and fell down a couple times. But she just got back up and continued rolling away. Talk about rolling with the punches! Then we went through this beautiful garden! It had a tower you could climb up and a giant red rocking chair you could actually get on! It also had giant (fake) birds nests you could climb into, a sand pit with palm trees, and even water pumps that when you push up and down, they squirt water on the other side of the garden! But they didnt work, but I think they put them off because it is gettig cold!
Then we saw these giant statues of Demeter and her 2 spring gods. They were beautiful. But we didnt get much time to look at them because my sister wanted to go to the water fountain. I was pretty, I have to admitt. Gorgeous! And when we loaded up to go home, I hoped we could do it again!
My Teachers…
September 20, 2008
I have just started a new year in school. I have made a few new friends, tightened bonds with my old ones, and I am starting to see a whole new perspective of school. For starters, this year is a whole lot different than last year becuse of the homework train is making an extreme amount of stops at BigWorldSmallFeet! Please do not stop reading, even if I don’t post for a day or week!!
I love mt teachers! My Language and Literature teacher is extremely strict, but fair and loves to have an occasional laugh, as long as we get the work done. On Friday, when we had read a book called My Great-Aunt Arizona (which by the way, I am gonna do a review on) and got the work done, she started to play the song “Dont Stop Believing” by Journey. A boy in my class started dancing and I thought, we have to be the funniest homeroom ever!
My Social Studies ans Science teacher is totally crazy. In a good way, of course! I absolutly love her! She allways does things wrong, on purpose and is absolutely fair. Strictness is all that she is if you are misbehaving. She is extremely funny and is organized.
My math teacher is awesome. He is strict, like all my other teachers and sometimes our class team is called the strict team. I love him because he allways has a good laugh. He is totally obsessed with math, as a teacher of that subject should be. I really am starting to like math. I used to think of it as my worst subject, but that has changed. I think I am going to enjoy math.
Hope to have a happy year and wish to all others!
Review- Penny from Heaven

A charming book written by an excellent author, Jennifer L. Holm. It was intense but smooth through-out the book and I loved it! I have never been a fan of realistic fiction, but this book just made me want to keep reading more! This enchanting story that is set in 1953 inside an Italian family living in America. It is about a delightful and rumbuntious 11 year old girl who wants what every kid wants in the summer; butter-pecan ice cream, swimming, and base-ball. But this summer is full of unpleasant surprises. For starters, her uncle who plays base-ball with her is living in a car. She can’t go swimming because her mother is afraid she will catch polio at the pool. This is turning out really bad, huh? There are some really heart-warmingmoments in this book though. I loved this book and I am sure you will to!
Happy Birthday!
August 6, 2008
Can we all take a moment to consider this very special day…. MY SISTER’S B-DAY!!!!! She won’t admit it but she was spoilt!!!!!! With a total of a million presents, she was extremely happy and satisfied at the end of the day. Let me explain from the beginning of last night.
Well, my mom and I raced down to I-Party at 8:39pm to find out they close at 9:00pm! OMG! We raced through that store like monsters, grabbing a pinata, party tooters, any gift bag we can find and then still having to buy candy! After, that we went to our local Stop&Shop and bought 2 singing cards, and a ton of other cards, a bunch of pink and white flowers, and finally the final addition….. the absolutely, fabulous, awesome, and many other words like ANNOYING!!!!! singing Disney Princess balloon! It sings this Happy Birthday song but, I think it is CInderella, it sings it in this catchy over-reactive joyful tune whenever you tap it. Well, this was a nightmare I mean, a beautiful gift! In a couple of weeks, we will regret this! After finally fitting it all in the trunk, we arrived back home and I got out the presents. It was quite a long list! A Jasmine doll, a Giselle doll, a magnetic dress up kit, and we can go on for a while! My mom, my dad (who was mainly blogging the whole time!), and I wrote all the cards, wrapped the gifts, and had a good joke. This kid had ALOT, I repeat ALOT, of birthday presents! Finally, after getting the whole shei-bang done, I went up stairs and got into bed and nodded off.
The next morning I woke to a singing card playing in my ear, and Lili, my sister, laughing her head off. (She perticually likes the Hallmark Hoops&Yoyo cards). Well, here it goes, my whole day, devoted to bowing, to her ohhhh roy-yal highness, doing her every word (and believe me, she has ALOT of words to say!!!!) but it was all for my little sister, I mean she did kinda deserve it.
We all went downstairs and saw the VERY large pile of gifts! You should-a seen that look on her face! It’s whole mouth fell through the floor and down to the basement!!!! After opening all her gifts, she decided to take a look at that balloon, which our VERY annoying cats had a LONG play with!!!! and oh, man did she like it. We are gonna start regretting!
At swimming lessons, my class worked on diving and my sisters sang happy birthday and Lili splashed like it was the last day of summer, which the weather makes it feel like that! Then we went home and Lili and me played on our brand new game console with our brand new game…. RATATOUILLE! After many tries, my Dad helped us get passed a REALLY HARD LEVEL!
Then I HAD to go to film camp, because this was our last day and I was in almost all the scenes that we were filming today. After camp I went to the roy-yal highness’s party, which was like all stylish people have, Disney Princess. Luckily she finallly settled on that theme, because before she said unicorn theme, then ballet theme, then Dora the Explorer theme and so on so forth. I got some delish cake and we all had a ball! I was so impressed with this birthday, even if it isn’t mine! Of course, the little kids put the party tooters in their noses and blowed balls of resedue into the tubes to try and toot them. Hahahahaha!
After cake we all went outside and played some games. The birthday girl chose all the games because, as she stated, she is in charge! We played Duck Duck Goose, Mother May-I, Hide-and-Seek, and the best part, with ribbons! My dad even got up and started playing with them! It was laughs all around! Finally we all had to go home, and Lili and I played non-stop and we had sausages, mash, butter-nut squash, and peas for dinner (as her roy-yal highness requested) and for dessert this slush swirl! Delish!!!!
Tonight I sit and think, this was a great family day!!!!!
Day One, Week One
July 12, 2008
Dear Dairy of Anne Bekker,
I have decided that it is time to lose some of my 300 pounds. I mean I can hardly go anywhere with this flubber being pulled along. So, I am going to lose weight the old-fashioned way; excersize, healthy food, and NO MORE HAMBURGERS or any other fast food! (*sob*sob* yes, I know the consicence). I am having my finale hamburger today at lunchtime. I am going with my sister to T.G.I Fridays and we are gonna lose weight together! Well wish me luck!
From your soon to be slimmer,
Anne Bekker
